POWER

1 Corinthians.2.2-5
For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling.
My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of
the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on man's wisdom, but on God's power.

I want to walk in power.
I want to see that Christ leads me in triumphal procession (2Cor.2.14) everywhere, I go.
I want to see that I have the spirit of him who raised Christ from the dead living in me, active (Eph.1.19-20; Rom.8.11)
I want to see victory all over my world, as is my mandate. (Matt.28.18, Matt.10.1, 8)

A deep fire has been growing in me for God to teach me how to disciple women, and this morning in my God-time, training commenced:

Lesson One: Let God do it! It's all by his power... not by my fine sounding arguements (which are actually only fine sounding when I'm by myself... around people, my words get muddled... which is probably God's grace, considering the above quoted verse... considering that's what happened to Paul).
Now, my prayer is that the power of God would be evident in me as I speak, as I love, as I play. People can think I'm a fool all they want so long as they recognize the power of God in me, and take it for themselves.

Closing remarks and exhortations: Praise the Lord! Do not conform to the pattern of this world. Let your conversation be seasoned with salt. Find out what pleases the Lord.

Pictures and stories will come of our amazing cell retreat this weekend. (Emphasis on amazing)
