"Free" Parking, Oil & Discipleship

SATURDAY: (I wrote this then, but couldn't post it then)
Today I went to White Rock with Ozzie, and God. I didn't pay for parking, I ate ice cream and gave some to Ozzie. Dogs, I learned (thanks to a short German woman with round sunglasses) aren't allowed there, but Ozzie trotted along proudly (and I might say defiantly, but only if I were trotting vicariously through him. He, I think, only waddled happily and naïvely).

I talked to God out loud, and snickered to Him when I saw two ladies rummaging for parking money: part of the White Rock experience in which I did not partake. A bird pooped on my sleeve within five minutes of arrival (efficient creatures! they waste no time)… it was really warm... like pre-warmed chairs (pre-warmed by someone else’s bum)… well, not quite… it was almost hot… I washed it off with a scrunched face…

Goodbye!

SUNDAY:
Man! So, I learned how to change my oil on Sunday. I'm really good at it.We broke an orange car ramp... how does that happen? They are supposed to hold cars. We are strong. One car of three fell on Matt... twice. He's okay. We then borrowed better equipment from my neighbour. Smart.

We (naturally) got in a wee bit of an oil fight... I still have oily hair. (grumble) But it was worth it, and I'd do it again! The oil was warm on my hand when I slid the plug out... I hit my head on my car-belly... but now I can change my oil.

I love discipleship. I love answering questions, because I find that (when I'm doing it right) I don't answer them... Holy Spirit speaks to me and gives me revelation as I'm thinking about the question. That way, the answer is never really from me, but from God, which essentially means it's always good, always true, always applicable. It makes me come alive.

Pictures coming soon of oil changing 101, and YC too.
